Background & Purpose
The purpose of the Physical Therapy Robotic Device (PTRD), is to help move a patient's wrist that has been damaged from an accident by exercising their hand inward and outward, shown in figure 1. Originally, the PTRD was created for AT&T 2017 Developer Summit competition, then I decided to make it open source for people to build, modify and improve the project.
Furthermore, this project is not at the level of practicality, it is simply a prototype or a concept idea, shown figure 2. Also, this is the second version where the design is much simpler to 3D print.

Project Cost
The cost for the PTRD project depends on where the equipment is purchased from. Most of the equipment was purchased from Amazon, and it came out to be around $120. It is important to note that most of the parts were also reused from a previous robotic project, and these are specifically chosen for prototyping, shown in figure 2.
